Cuttings discs and coolants

We always offer you the ideal cutting discs for your requirements. Thanks to our extensive selection, we can tailor the discs precisely to your needs. SilverCut discs impress with a significantly longer service life compared to conventional cutting discs.

 

First, a distinction is made between cutting discs for wet or dry cutting processes:

The following materials are available:

Resin-bonded cutting discs are a natural product consisting of approx. 200 different types of corundum and various types of bonding. Suitable for:

  • Stainless steel and special alloys, 
  • hardened or soft steel, 
  • hardened or soft aluminum

Rubber-bonded cutting discs cut quickly and with virtually no burrs.
Suitable for:

  • Stainless steel
  • Cobalt-chromium 
  • Other refractory materials

CBN discs made of cubic boron nitride, sintered onto stainless steel. 
Suitable for:

  • Steel and 
  • alloys

Diamond discs, sintered onto stainless steel. 
Suitable for:

  • Carbon fiber
  • Glass fiber
  • Ceramics and glass 
  • Hard metal 
  • Carbides

We offer the following coolants:

  • Water with “synthetic corrosion protection” (oil-free)
  • SilverCut Domofluid (concentration 4–5% of the coolant)
