History of SilverCut

1924

Founding of the company by Wilhelm Silbermann in Mosbach as a general machine shop. Manufacture of the “Rapid” concrete beam machine for hollow block production.

1946

Takeover of the company by Hans Silbermann Sr. Manufacture of water meters and bottle washing machines for the winery industry.

1972

Takeover of the company by Dipl. Ing. Hans Silbermann. General mechanical engineering, supplier of complex welded parts to Mannheimer Motorenwerke. The company obtained the major welding certificate. Construction of the first casting cleaning machines and manufacture of the first cutting machines. The cutting machines were marketed under the name KANI, and many well-known companies in Germany and abroad still rely on the proven technology from Mosbach today.

1998

Hans Silbermann GbR moves to new business premises in Mosbach-Neckarelz.

1999

Conversion of Hans Silbermann GbR into Dipl. Ing. Hans Silbermann GmbH.

2000

Collaboration with LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, USA. LECO took over worldwide distribution of Silbermann cutting machines for destructive material testing. The machines are sold under the LECO label.

2005

Renaming of the Silbermann-KANI series to the new product name SilverCut cutting machines.

2009

Dipl. Ing. Hans Silbermann GmbH became SilverCut – Silbermann GmbH.

2018

Acquisition of SilverCut – Silbermann GmbH by the Pütz Group and continuation under the new name SilverCut GmbH.

2023

Merger with Sampas GmbH (Kernen-Rommelshausen) under the new name Sampas + SilverCut GmbH
